Overview
This article explains why you cannot delete an assessment collection even though it contains no grade data, and how to delete it under these circumstances.
When an assessment collection doesn't contain grade files, delete it from DATA > Select Key Stage and Cohort > Grades > Uploads > Assessments by selecting the assessment collection and Delete Collection. When Delete Collection is disabled (shaded out), as shown in the example below, it is usually because the collection contained Attitude to Learning (AtL)judgements that were not deleted before the grades file was deleted.
The Attitude to Learning tabs can't be accessed when there are no grades uploaded into the collection, therefore, the collection contains data that you can't delete.
Prerequisites
You must be an administrator.
Instructions
To enable Delete Collection:
- Upload any grade file into the assessment collection. This lets you access the Attitude to Learning judgements.
- After uploading the file, select the Attitude to Learning tab(s)
- Select Delete Judgements:
- Repeat for each Attitude to Learning category.
- Select the Grades tab.
- Delete the grades file by selecting the red X.
Outcome
After deleting all Attitude to Learning judgements and grades files, Delete Collection is enabled. It is no longer shaded out and can be selected.
