Sisra Analytics: Can we use Data Collaboration even though our school doesn't report to the DfE? (Admin)

Overview

If your school does not report to the DfE, you can still use Data Collaboration and benefit from the analysis provided, depending on the data you upload and how you use the reports.

This article explains how non-DfE reporting schools can opt in to Data Collaboration and access insights and benchmarking data.

Prerequisites

You must be an administrator to configure Data Collaboration.

Instructions

Although your data will not be collected for Data Collaboration, you can use collaborative data in reports for comparative purposes by following the steps below:

  • To opt in to the Data Collaboration:
    1. Select CONFIG.
    2. Select Data Collaboration.
    3. Select Exams next to the latest cohort.
    4. Read the information presented, then check the box at the bottom of the page
    5. Select Submit.
  • If you publish reports using DfE rules, complete Student Filter Mapping to compare your published figures against our Collaborative Headlines data. This includes figures broken down by the Sisra Key Filters (Disadvantaged, Gender, and SEN).

Student Filter Mapping lets you tell us which (if any) of your school’s filters correspond to the Sisra Key Filters, to allow for direct comparison with collaborative data in reports.

To configure Filter Mapping, see Sisra Analytics: Data Collaboration - Completing Key Filter Mapping (Admin).

  • If your school uses KS2 National Curriculum baselines, you can access collaborative data for comparative analysis in Grades reports (SPI).

Use the Matching page to tell us which official DfE qualifications correspond to your school’s qualifications. Using this information, Sisra Analytics can highlight potential issues with your grade method in the DC Exams Check column, if the method within the EAP varies from what is expected based on guidance.

For further information, see Sisra Analytics: KS3/4 - Completing the Matching page (Admin).

Outcome

Data Collaboration will be enabled in Sisra Analytics, enabling you to benefit from the enhanced analysis you can undertake by comparing your school performance with other schools that have opted in.
