As default, a super user or anyone under the teacher role type will have the permission to edit a content page. We can however amend the permissions for editing for other role types should you find you cannot do this. Please give us a call to do this.

Embedding a Video through the YouTube Block

As a school you may have your own YouTube channel which you upload your video’s too. These videos can then be embedded onto your Primarysite website. As the video is hosted on YouTube directly, there is no file size limit for these videos. Alternatively, you may have videos you wish to add which are too large to add to the website directly. In this instance you can create a YouTube channel to upload the video’s on which will then allow you to embed them into the website in the below way.

Firstly, you will need to navigate to the page that you wish to add the video to. Once you are in the page, you will need to click the blue ‘edit this page’ button which can be located in the top left corner of the white bar.

Firstly, you will need to navigate to the page that you wish to add the video to. Once you are in the page, you will need to click the blue ‘edit this page’ button which can be located in the top left corner of the white bar.

You will then see the below screen. Click the yellow ‘edit pencil button’ on the right side of the video, you will then be taken to the ‘manage YouTube/Vimeo video’ area to amend.

Should you wish to delete a video completely, you can do this from the above screen by selecting the red ‘x’ button. You will be prompted to ensure that you wish to delete the video completely.
