Overview
This article explains how to rename data sets and assessment areas in KS3/4 and KS5 to accurately reflect the type of grades you have or plan to upload.
All data sets can be renamed, except for Exams and TAGs / CAGs, depending on the data you wish to collect and analyse. For example, if you plan to upload predicted grades into Data Set 3 rename this to Predicted Grades to make it clearer to all Sisra Analytics users.
Any changes you make to data set names will be reflected in all cohorts for that key stage. You can have different names for KS3/4 and KS5.
You can't create additional data sets, so before making any name changes, speak with your SLT to determine which data you want to upload into each data set.
We recommend uploading one type of assessment data per cohort, so you may choose to rename the Assessment section to reflect the kind of data you are collecting, for example, Working At.
Instructions
- To rename a Data Set or the Assessments area for a particular key stage:
- Select CONFIG.
- Select Data Sets.
- Select the key stage (KS3/4 Data Sets or KS5 Data Sets) that you want to change:
- Select Edit:

Enter the new name in the Display Name area for the corresponding assessments or data set, for example, you might want to change Targets to EOY Targets:
Exams and TAGs / CAGs data sets are locked and cannot be renamed.
- Select Save.
- Republish your grades to update any currently published reports for the cohort.
Outcome
The new names are applied to all cohorts within the selected key stage.
