Sisra Analytics: How do I check the performance points for a KS4 qualification/grade method? (Admin)

Overview

This article explains how to find the correct Attainment 8 points for your qualifications to help you create Grade Methods within KS3/4 of Sisra Analytics, ensuring that your qualifications will count correctly in Headlines figures.

Prerequisites

  • You must be an administrator.
  • You must have Microsoft Excel (or another spreadsheet that will open an ODS file)
  • You will need a QN code for the qualification you want to check, for example, QN 60142923. Your school's Exams Officer will be able to provide this. Alternatively, speak to the appropriate Examinations Board.

Instructions

To find the correct Attainment 8 points for your qualification:

  1. Download a copy of the most recent performance points spreadsheet provided by the DfE. This is currently Performance points for qualifications counting in the 2025 key stage 4 performance tables (access from https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/key-stage-4-qualifications-discount-codes-and-point-scores).
  2. Open the spreadsheet in Microsoft Excel.
  3. Select Enable Editing.
  4. Select Home.
  5. Select Find & Select.
  6. Select Find...

  7. From the Find and Replace window, select Options to expand the window (if it's not already expanded):
  8. Select Workbook from Within.
  9. In Find What, enter your QN code (removing any forward slashes), for example, 60142923.
  10. Select Find Next.

Instructions video

This video features the old version of Sisra Analytics, therefore, what you see on your screen may differ, but the steps you need to take remain the same.

Outcome

The QN Code is located within the spreadsheet, along with the details for the qualification. For 60142923, this is AQA Level 1/Level 2 GCSE (9-1) in English Language. Use the Pass Points (Column F) and GCSE Equivalences (Column G) to set up the correct grade points and entries for your KS3/4 EAP grade method in Sisra Analytics:

Qualifications using the same grading structure will appear next to each other in the spreadsheet.

If your qualification is not found within the spreadsheet, it may not be eligible to count towards the performance measures for the given year. Contact the Examination Board or the DfE for clarification.
