Pupil Asset
Following the global discovery of a vulnerability flaw in the PHP programming language (read more here: BBC coverage), we have taken the decision to temporarily take down the PupilAsset platform.
PupilAsset is built with PHP technology included, over 30 million websites world-wide use the same technology. This is a precautionary step. Our technical teams are working on this as a matter of urgency, and Pupil Asset will only come back online once we are confident it is safe to do so. Rather than take any chances with the information you trust us to hold about your pupils, we have chosen to switch the service off while we put a fix in place.
Safeguarding comes first
Protecting children's personal information is a safeguarding responsibility, and we treat it with the same seriousness you do. That is why we would rather keep the service closed for a little longer than reopen before it is fully secure.
- Please continue to follow your school's usual safeguarding procedures and report any concerns to your designated safeguarding lead as normal.
- Pupil Asset being unavailable should never delay acting on a concern about a child.
- If you need information from Pupil Asset for an urgent safeguarding matter, please contact us and we will do all we can to help.
When will Pupil Asset be back?
Within 48 hours is our current expectation.
We'll keep this page updated, and we will let you know as soon as the service is available again. Your data is not being deleted, and everything will be as you left it when Pupil Asset returns.
