Juniper Websites: How do I enable the Communicate Module features in Websites?

Overview

This article explains how to configure Juniper Websites so that content created in your website (news articles, newsletters, and calendar entries) is published to the Juniper Education App for parents and staff.

Prerequisites

  1. Your Juniper Website must be accessible through Juniper's JoinUp platform (it is available for selection in your App Switcher), and you must subscribe to the Communicate Module.
  2. You must be an Administrator in Juniper Websites.
  3. Automatic Approvals for News and Newsletters in Comms Hub's Settings / Feeds / Approvals must be enabled. If disabled (the default value), news articles and newsletters must be manually approved in Comms Hub before being published to the Juniper Education App. For details, see Juniper Websites: How do I enable or disable the automatic approval of news and newsletters?

Instructions

Follow these steps to configure Juniper Websites so that any published news articles,newsletters and calendar items are published to the Juniper App:

  1. From Juniper Websites, select Add-Ons:
  2. From Add-Ons, select Juniper Parent App:
  3. From Juniper Parent App Settings, work through the three tabs, News, Newsletter Pages and Events in turn:

    1. From the News tab, check one or more news pages to publish to the  Juniper Education App:

    2. From the Newsletter Pages tab, check one or more newsletter pages to publish to the  Juniper Education App:

    3. From the Events tab, check one or more calendar event calendars to publish to the Juniper Education App:

      Only check (enable) those items that you want to publish in the Juniper Education App.

  4. After making your changes, select Save:

Outcome

A message is displayed confirming that your selections have been saved:

Any news articles, newsletters and event calendars selected, that are already published to your website will be published to the Juniper Education App, where they can be viewed by parents and teachers.
