White paper: £3.4bn for inclusion and external support

The government has announced wide reaching reforms to transform SEND provision across the education sector. This includes significant funding for specialist and mainstream provision and the introduction of new Individual Support Plans (ISP) with the Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP's) being retained for those with the greatest need. Furthermore, the plans include the provision of funding of training to ensure 'every teacher to be a teacher of children with SEND.'
