Overview
This article explains how to quickly make changes to a contact's details from a pupil record. When you create a contact within a pupil record, you enter basic contact details. After the contact has been created, you can further populate these details based on your needs.

Instructions
Follow these steps to edit / update a contact's details through a pupil record:
- Select Pupils.
- Select All Pupils.
- Find the pupil you want to add a contact to (use the search bar or filters to speed up this process as appropriate):
- Select the pupil's name to open their record:
- From the pupil's record, select the Contacts tab:
- From the Contacts tab, select the contact whose details you want to edit:
- Select the ellipsis next to the contact whose details you want to change:

Select Edit from the menu:
If you would prefer to view the whole contact record and edit through that view, select Edit Full Contact (see MIS: How do I edit / update a contact's details? for further information)

Edit the contact's details, making any changes as needed, including the relationship (using the drop-down list), parental responsibility, emergency contact details or whether the person has a court order recorded against them:
- Select Save.
Outcome
The changes are made to the contact, and you are returned to the Contacts page:
