Juniper Websites: How can I see why a contact / parent has not received an email?

Overview

This article explains how to check which parents or contacts have not received an email and the reasons why through the Dashboard in the Add-Ons part of Juniper Websites.

Prerequisites

  1. You must be an administrator.

Instructions

Follow these steps to check which parents or contacts have not received an email and the reasons why:

  1. Select the Add-ons tab.
  2. Scroll down and select Data Dashboard:

  3. From the Data Dashboard, select Emails:
  4. Scroll down the email page and locate the email that you sent to check why a parent or contact has not received the email:
  5. Select View:

Outcome

A page detailing how many emails have been delivered, opened and failed is shown. Those emails that have failed are divided into two lists: those that have been bounced and those that have not been delivered because an individual has unsubscribed:

Individuals whose emails bounced are listed along with their email addresses:

Emails can be bounced for a variety of reasons including:

  1. The recipient's inbox is full.
  2. The recipient's email address is incorrect.
  3. The recipient is blocking school emails.
  4. The recipient's email client is automatically blocking school emails.

To find out why the email is being bounced, speak to the parent / contact, who may be able to provide more insight.

If a parent doesn't know why the email is being bounced, suggest to them that they add your school's No reply email to their safe senders list within their email client.

In addition to the names of contacts where emails have bounced when sent, the names of individual contacts who have not received the email because they unsubscribed are also clearly displayed with their email addresses:

Resolve event removes the name from the report view - it has no additional functional value.
