Juniper Websites: What is ALT text?

ALT (Alternative) text is a concise description added to an image’s HTML tag. It's used to describe the appearance or function of an image on a webpage.

ALT text is not usually visible on the page itself but is read aloud by screen readers for people who are blind or visually impaired. It also appears in place of an image if it fails to load.
