Overview

This article explains how to synchronise job vacancies from your SAMpeople system, for example, on a Current Vacancies page, on your Juniper Website.

Prerequisities

• You must be a SAMpeople customer who has configured your Juniper Website to synchronise with SAMpeople using their API (see Juniper Websites: How do I enable SAMpeople integration in Juniper Websites?).

 Instructions

To add a SAMpeople Vacancy component block:

1. Navigate to the page and place on your website where you want to add your SAMpeople Vacancy content block.
2. Select Edit, then select Blocks:
   
3. When the Blocks load, select Other:
   

4. Select SAMpeople Vacancy:

   

   Where there is no Other tab, or SAMpeople Vacancy isn't displayed in the Other tab, you have not yet configured Juniper Websites to work with SAMpeople using the SAMpeople API (See Juniper Websites: How do I enable SAMpeople integration in Juniper Websites?).

5. Complete the SAMpeople Vacancy component block settings:
   
   1. Optionally add a title to the component block:
      1. Check Include Title.
      2. Enter a Title.
   2. Optionally, Filter by School, enter your school name to limit the listed vacancies to a specific school. You must enter the name of the school exactly as it appears in SAMpeople. If you fail to do this, no vacancies will be displayed.
   3. Optionally, select a Template to replace the default one, if you have had a custom template created for you, select it from the list.
   4. Optionally, in Limit, enter the number of vacancies you want to display on a page.   
6. Select OK.
7. Save your page.

Outcome

The SAMpeople component block is added to your page, comprising a search bar and a list of associated vacancies:

To search for vacancies:

• Enter a job title, skill or keywords in What are you looking for?
• Enter either a postcode, town or city in Where are you looking?
• Select Search.

Alternatively, select Advanced search to sort results and filter by a variety of items, including salary banding, contract type, department, school name, job type, key stage, and work pattern:

As an end user, to apply for a role that has been posted, select Apply. You will be sent to SAMpeople Recruit to complete the application:
