Due to recent configuration changes to our attendance system, we have received several queries. This article aims to address them, but if you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact our support team.
Attendance Analysis
The primary change in this section is the removal of the total summary at the bottom of the page. This information is no longer displayed in the "Attendance Analysis" section as it was previously, due to the performance impact of loading this data.
However, you can still access this data by changing the grouping option to ‘Alphabetical’ (see screenshot below). This will allow you to view whole-school totals and percentages, similar to what was previously available under the ‘Class’ or ‘Group’ options. You can still refine your results using the filters on the left-hand side of the page.
Teacher Register
In response to user demand, the notes field is now available for teachers to keep track of children's attendance statuses. As a result, the page layout and workflow have been adjusted slightly.
The updated layout is shown below:
- Once a mark has been entered, you will automatically move to the ‘Notes’ field to add any relevant details regarding the child's attendance.
- After entering a note, press the "TAB" key to move to the next child's record.
- If needed, you can still use the "A" key to bulk fill present marks.
- You can no longer hold down a key to enter multiple marks.
These changes aim to enhance functionality while maintaining ease of use.
Updated
