Juniper Websites: How do I embed a PowerPoint presentation in a page?

Overview

This article explains how you can insert a PowerPoint slideshow into your page. This lets users view the presentation without navigating to a different page. You do this by inserting a piece of HTML code provided by Microsoft into the code used to create your page.

Prerequisites

  1. A working knowledge of HTML.
  2. A code snippet from Microsoft that links to your PowerPoint slideshow. The slideshow must be hosted in a public OneDrive folder. See Microsoft's Embed a presentation in a web page or blog article for further details of how to obtain the link. The following is an example of a code snippet provided by Microsoft to embed an example PowerPoint slideshow:

Use this option carefully. Making mistakes might affect your website's functionality or cause it to go offline. If you're unsure about what you are doing, speak to someone in your school who is familiar with adding code, or contact our Support Team.

Instructions

  1. Select the content area of your page, where you would like to add the PowerPoint code snippet.
  2. Select the Add a custom code snippet tool from the Edit toolbar:
  3. Paste the code provided by Microsoft into the Custom Code Snippet window:
  4. Select OK.
  5. Save the page.

Outcome

Your draft version of the page will be updated to include a code snippet:

When you view or preview your page, you will see the PowerPoint slideshow embedded into your page:

Users can navigate slide-by-slide through the presentation and enlarge it so that it is full screen.
