Overview
This article explains how to embed a Google Docs file from your Google Drive into a page. The document will be displayed using the styling of your website.
Prerequisites
Your school website administrator must have set up Google Drive Integration to allow access to a Shared Drive within your Google Drive.
Instructions
- Select Components in the Edit tab:
- Select the Google Drive File option.
- The Add Component window opens:
- Select Browse to access the File Manager.
- Within your website's File Manager window, locate and open the Google Drive folder:
- Select the file you want to embed.
- Select OK.
Outcome
Your Google Doc file is displayed on your webpage. It is stylised based on the existing look and feel of your website.
Restrictions
- Restricted files, which are not set to be shared publicly, are marked with a padlock icon but can still be embedded making the content public.
- Only Google Doc file types can be embedded in this way. If you try to select an unsupported file type a warning message displays.
