Juniper Websites: How do I embed a Google Docs file in a webpage?

Overview

This article explains how to embed a Google Docs file from your Google Drive into a page. The document will be displayed using the styling of your website. 

Prerequisites

Your school website administrator must have set up Google Drive Integration to allow access to a Shared Drive within your Google Drive.

Instructions

  1. Select Components in the Edit tab:
    Insert Content Block
  2. Select the Google Drive File option.
  3. The Add Component window opens:

    • Select Browse to access the File Manager.
    • Within your website's File Manager window, locate and open the Google Drive folder:

    • Select the file you want to embed.
  4. Select OK.

Outcome

Your Google Doc file is displayed on your webpage. It is stylised based on the existing look and feel of your website. 

Restrictions

  • Restricted files, which are not set to be shared publicly, are marked with a padlock icon but can still be embedded making the content public.
  • Only Google Doc file types can be embedded in this way.  If you try to select an unsupported file type a warning message displays.
