Overview
This article explains how to embed an online video from YouTube, Vimeo or a similar hosting platform into your page.
We recommend using a dedicated video hosting service, for example, YouTube and Vimeo. These provide unlimited storage and editing options. They are often better from an accessibility perspective as they support transcripts. Additionally, when the content is streamed it is optimised for the type of device it is being viewed on.
If you are using YouTube, it will allow you to upload a video as unlisted. Setting a video as unlisted means it cannot be searched for but can still be embedded on your school's website. For more information, take a look at YouTube's tutorial: https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/157177?hl=en-GB.
