Juniper Websites: Creating posts on the PrimarySite Blogging Platform

Blogging is a great way to share updates about what's happening for a class, school group or individual.

  • To create a new blog post, click ‘Create Post’

  • Firstly, enter a title for the post and then use the text box to add your update.  You can format your text, using familiar icons on the toolbar, and also upload images.

  • The ‘add attachments’ button allows any type of document to be added to a blog post, such as a word doc, an excel sheet, audio or a video clip.
    Please note, if adding a video or audio clip this cannot exceed 75mb in line with how our content management system works and no file attached can exceed 20mb.

  • When adding an image, you will be presented with the image properties box, this allows you to change the width, height and alignment of the picture, as well as to set the alternative text for accessibility.

  • Once approved, the post will appear in the Blog.  Where enabled for the class, any comments added will also need to be approved before appearing.  Comments from adults are auto-approved, whilst comments from children or non-logged-in users would need to go through the approval process.
