Overview
This article explains why you receive the following error message when saving an event on a website calendar and how to resolve it:
There was an error saving your event, (there was an error adding your event). Click here to close this message
This message is displayed if the category that you have selected on the right-hand side of the event has not been enabled to display in your calendar:
Instructions
- Navigate to the page on your website where the calendar is displayed.
- Select Edit.
- Select Categories:
- Check the categories that you want to display in the calendar:
- Select Save and Save now:
Outcome
You can create and save events using the category/categories that have been checked. The error message will no longer display when you try to save an event as the appropriate categories are enabled.
