Sonar Multi-School
Purpose
Accessed from the Statutory Dashboard in Sonar Multi-School, the EYFS Profile Widget breaks down the EYFS - Good Level of Development headline displayed in the Statutory Attainment Headline Summary Widget. It shows:
- The percentage of pupils across your Trust who, by the end of Year R, have achieved a Good Level of Development.
- The percentage of pupils across your Trust who, by the end of Year R, have achieved all 17 goals.
- The average number of goals (out of 17) achieved by eligible pupils across your Trust.
Details of the statutory data eligibility rules that govern these measures are provided in a sub-section below. This will help you to understand which pupils are included in these measures and how they are calculated.

Statutory data eligibility rules
The following rules apply to determining which pupils are included in the calculations above, using their data stored in Sonar Tracker.
Cohort
Pupils who are currently in Year R (Reception) for the current academic year.
Eligible pupils
Pupils (excluding Leavers) who have achieved a result of A, 1, or 2 (not blank) in all 17 EYFS goals.
Not eligible pupils
Pupils who are not eligible are as follows:
- Pupils with no results in any of the 17 goals - those with no assessment data.
- Pupils with at least one result in the 17 goals, but not all 17 - those with missing assessment data.
Example
There are 30 pupils (with no Leavers) in Reception whose details are stored in Sonar Tracker.
- 28 pupils have results for all 17 goals.
- 1 pupil is missing all results.
- 1 pupil is missing a result for one goal.
Calculation
- For % Good Level of Development, % Achieved All Goals, and % Average Number of Goals, values are calculated using 28 pupils as the denominator.
- One pupil has assessment data, and a further one pupil has missing assessment data.
- Total number of pupils in cohort is 30.
- Total number of eligible pupils is 28.
- Total number of ineligible pupils is 2.
