Overview
This article explains how to quickly compare your official KS5 exam results with other reports for the same cohort, using Add Compare feature. This is useful, for example, letting you compare differences between actual results and targets to see whether a student has met expectations.
Prerequisites
Your administrator must have published any reports you want to compare.
Instructions
Follow these steps to open your exams report and compare it with another report:
- Select REPORTS.
- Select KS5.
- Select a Cohort.
- Select a DATA SET.
- Select Grade Analysis.
- Select Add Compare:
- Select a data set to Compare with the figures you’re currently viewing, for example, Targets:
- Select the column(s) to display:
- Compare. Includes additional columns to display the figures from the comparison data set.

Outcome
The report will be updated based on your selection:
Figures are colour coded to indicate increases or decreases in performance.
When comparing two data sets, view the Grades Analysis - On Track report to generate extra columns showing the total number or percentages of grades above, equal to, or below the compared data set. These can be viewed by scrolling across:
If you compare your Targets dataset with your Exams data set, this would allow you to see the count or percentage of grades that are greater than, equal to, or lower than the target grade.
This can be seen for each student, qualification, class, faculty, or filter group, and you can
Toggle between displaying numbers and percentages in reports using the Count / Percent in OPTIONS:
