Overview

This article explains how to check if a parent role has been configured for you in Juniper Websites. Parent roles are used to control the access that is granted to parents accessing add-ons, for example, the Parents' Evening booking tool or the Parent Portal. The parent role should always be set to read-only. It is normally called Parent MIS.

Prerequisites

  • You must be an administrator to check which roles have been configured on your website.

Instructions

To check if a Parent Role has been set up:

  1. Open User Manager from the Home tab:
  2. Look in the All Roles & Users pane of the User Manager window to see if there is a role called MIS Parent (or similar):

Outcome

If you find a role called MIS Parent (or similar), your parent role has been set up.
