Juniper Websites: How do I embed a photo album in a webpage?

Overview

This article explains how to add an album of photographs to a webpage. Using the Photo Album Block / Component you can pull through images from any album or gallery previously created on your website. Images can be displayed as a grid, list or slideshow.

Prerequisites

You must have previously created a photo album within a photo gallery on your site.

Instructions

  1. Select Block / Components in the Edit tab:
    Insert Content Block
  2. Select Website Content > Photo Album:
  3. The Photo Album Block window opens:
    • To display a title above your block / component, check Include Title, and enter the title text.
    • Select browse to choose your Source album. A tree view of your site will open, listing items with existing albums. Use the tree to choose the album you want to embed in your page, then select Select.
    • Select your Template from:
      • Grid - There are several grid options to allow you to display the album images in a uniform block layout, with different numbers of images on each row:

      • List - This option will output the photo next to its title and any descriptive text you have added to your images within the album:

      • Slideshow - This outputs a slideshow to showcase your images, similar to the one that appears when selecting the images directly from your album:

    • Enter the number of images to display from your album by entering a number in Limit.
    • Optionally, change the Sort Order. By default, the images will be displayed in the order they appear in your album. You can select to order them by date or alphabetically.
  4. Select OK.

Outcome

The images are displayed on your webpage using the display method based on your template selection.
