Use Galleries to display collections of your photo albums for different purposes or occasions, for example, school trips and events, or pupil work. You may also choose to group your Albums, by Academic Year, Year Group or by School Club.
Customers create their Galleries in a variety of places in their website, for example:
- News and Events - Along with a News Category, a Calendar, a Gallery will let you showcase all the exciting things taking place.
- Class pages - Teachers can showcase class activities and keep parents abreast of what's happening in school.
- Occasionally, you may not want to share your gallery publicly. In this instance, an administrator can add it to a Hidden Area through the Sitemap View, so that it won't appear in the navigation menus on your site.
Creating your Gallery
Follow these steps to create a photo Gallery if you have the appropriate permission to do so:
- Navigate to the area of the website where you would like to create a photo gallery
- Select Gallery from the Create tab:
- When prompted, enter a Gallery Name and Gallery Description:
- Select Create.
- A blank gallery will appear with the following text: No photo albums have been added to this gallery yet:
Now that you have your blank gallery, it's time to populate it with your photo albums.
