Overview
This article explains how to fix any potential issues (flagged as Invalid Core Baselines) that Sisra Analytics finds when it checks the KS4 core baselines you import for your KS5 cohorts.
These warnings won’t stop you from publishing, but they could affect the accuracy of your reports.
Prerequisites
You must be an administrator.
Instructions
To check and fix core baseline warnings, after importing your Core baselines:
- Select DATA.
- Select Keystage 5.
- Select cohort.
- Select KS4 / EAP.
- Select Core Baselines.
- Select Core Baselines List.
- Scan the list for any Invalid Core Baseline warning icons, underneath a student's scores that indicate the points recorded for the baseline that aren’t in the expected range (see the section below for Valid Core Baselines:
- If any warnings exist:
- Either manually update the value:
- Select the blue pencil icon on the row of the student you want to change.
- Enter the points.
- Select Save.
- Or export the baselines and import once updated:
- Select either Export Grade List or Export Broadsheet to download the file:
- Locate the downloaded file on your device.
- Open the file in Excel.
- Make the change(s).
- Save the file.
- Select KS4/EAP
- Select Core Baselines.
- Select Import Core Baselines to start the import process.
- Select either Export Grade List or Export Broadsheet to download the file:
- Either manually update the value:
Outcome
Your KS4 baseline data will no longer include any invalid core baselines. No warning messages are displayed. Publish/republish your KS4/EAP data by going to KS4 / EAP > Publish KS4 / EAP and select Publish.
Valid Core Baselines
The following are valid Core Baseline ranges:
- KS4 APS GCSE / KS4 APS All - These baselines will accept appropriate average Attainment 8 points values between 0 and 11 (up to 13 decimal places).
- Prior English / Prior Maths - These baselines will accept the appropriate challenge points for the cohort year you’re working with, which you can see in the table below:
