To access the Outcome Set trends report, navigate to the Reports area and click into an outcome set name (e.g. Area of Development in our screenshot below), then click the Trend option you wish to view.

This will display a chart showing the count, percentage or average of each outcome in the selected focus area across each month, report window or academic year.

When viewing the Outcome Set and Focus Area (shown later in the guide) trends report with percentage or average selected on the left, you can click ‘Show/Hide Counts’ within the Summary Information table to display or hide the counts of each outcome contributing towards the calculations.

At the bottom of both the Outcome Set and Focus Area trends reports, you can view detailed information based on each category, department, team or staff member. If you’re displaying your figures as ‘Count’ or ‘Percentage’ then you would be able to view the analysis for each individual outcome in the outcome set, as shown on the screenshots on the next page.

Category

The ‘Category’ tab will show performance for each individual category the outcome set has been used in. In the screenshot below you can see the outcome was used less in Autumn 2 than it was in Autumn 1 Report Window.

Department

The ‘Department’ tab shows the trend for each department the outcome set has been used on a record against. In the example below you can see that for the ‘English’ department this outcome was used in more records in Autumn 1 compared with the previous Report Window.

Team

The ‘Team’ tab will show performance for each individual team the outcome set has been used in a record. In the example below, we have switched to viewing the average, and therefore the average outcome in each report window is being shown.

Staff

The ‘Staff’ tab shows the trend for each staff member, based on the selected outcome or their average outcome.
