Sisra Analytics: How do I extract data from my MIS? (Admin)

Overview

This article comprises a list of links to resources and a series of guidance attachments that help when extracting data from Arbor, Bromcom, iSAMs and SIMS.

After the data is extracted, save it as a .csv, .xlsx, .xls or .xml format and upload it directly into Sisra Analytics.

Arbor

Arbor provides a custom report writer on their website to extract student data, and step-by-step information on how to run this and extract grades.

Bromcom

Unfortunately there are no report definition files currently available for the Bromcom MIS..

A community forum for Bromcom users is available if you need any assistance with extracting data. A link to log in if you are registered is provided below. Please contact Bromcom directly if you need help setting up an account.

Alternatively, feel free to join our Data Manager's Facebook group (linked below) where Bromcom and Sisra users from all across the country will be able to share their suggestions.

iSAMS

If you're using iSAMS, access Sisra reports for iSAMS through their update system.

You can find a copy of iSAMS' guidance on accessing and running their reports within the zip file attached at the bottom of this page.

SIMS

If you're using SIMS, select the attachment at the bottom of this article to download a zip file containing a SIMS Report Definition file, a help guide to extract student data, and a document about creating templates to extract grades.
